The missing week...

Somehow I forgot to post these pics before my little break! And as I said earlier, I have made an effort to brighten my options up! A scarlet red Gieves & Hawkes being the stand-out one this week.

But my favourite is the black knitted silk tie from TM Lewin.

A little snapshot of my work outfits last week... Although I would admit that it wasn't a hugely adventurous week. Maybe too many solid or plains...will try harder to introduce more stripes and colours next week!!

As you can see from the photo above my tie offerings used to be a jumbled mess, checked, spotted and stripes all together, which isn't ideal when trying to coordinate shirts and suits. So in a moment of madness, I decided to separate them into categories...and to hang them in some sort of order!

Now if I choose a striped shirt, and want a plain knitted tie...I grab that particular hanger and my choice is simplified hugely!

It is incredibly sad, a bit like storing your CDs in alphabetical order...but lots of guys are geeks at heart. I just happen to be a tie geek...

New Year...

Twenty-twelve is going to be a memorable year! Naturally we'll all be caught up in the excitement of the London Olympics...but also on a more personal level, I'm getting married!

And to mark this momentus event, I decided to try to keep a diary this year...and if I was going to write my daily thoughts and scribbles, what better diary could I choose than this beautiful Nile Blue Portobello model from Smythson?!

And it has been accessorised in this photo with a Navy with blue striped stain finish tie from Gieves & Hawkes.
